Empire Cleaning offers three primary upholstery cleaning methods, along with variations and combinations tailored to your specific needs:

1. Steam Cleaning (Hot Water Extraction)

The most effective method for deeply soiled upholstery, steam cleaning uses hot water combined with mild detergent to dissolve and extract embedded dirt. Unlike household steam cleaners that can push soil deeper into fibers, our professional truck-mounted system generates consistent heat and pressure to lift particles to the surface and fully extract them.

Best for: General soiling, heavy use areas, synthetic fabrics, and pet stains.

2. Shampoo Method

Using soft water and mild detergent shampoos, this method gently agitates the fabric surface to release bound soils. Our soft water system allows us to use significantly milder solutions than conventional cleaners, reducing residue and improving rinseability.

Best for: Durable fabrics, commercial furnishings, and heavily soiled pieces.
